How to enable location access

If the near-me experience cannot see your location, follow the steps below for your browser or device, then return to the page and try again.

Chrome on Mac or Windows

  1. 1. Open the near-me page in Chrome.
  2. 2. Click the location or site icon in the address bar.
  3. 3. Set Location to Allow.
  4. 4. Refresh the page.
  5. 5. Press Refresh my location on Caffe Atlas.

Safari on Mac

  1. 1. Open the near-me page in Safari.
  2. 2. Choose Safari > Settings for This Website, or use the website settings control in the address bar.
  3. 3. Find Location and change it to Allow.
  4. 4. Reload the page and request your location again.

Safari on iPhone or iPad

  1. 1. Open the Settings app.
  2. 2. Go to Privacy & Security > Location Services.
  3. 3. Make sure Location Services is enabled.
  4. 4. Scroll to Safari Websites and set access to While Using the App or Ask.
  5. 5. Return to Safari, reload the page, and request your location again.

Chrome on Android

  1. 1. Open the page in Chrome.
  2. 2. Tap the lock or site icon in the address bar.
  3. 3. Open Permissions and allow Location.
  4. 4. Reload the page.
  5. 5. Try Refresh my location again.

If it still does not work

  1. 1. Check that device-level location services are enabled.
  2. 2. Make sure your browser is allowed to use location in system settings.
  3. 3. Disable VPN or privacy extensions temporarily if they interfere with geolocation.
  4. 4. Reload the page after every permission change.
